Resources for Kids [Part 6] – Prayer

As well as encouraging children to read the Bible [I've posted some resources to help with this HERE], it’s also important to help them develop a prayer life too.  Here are a few things that may help do this…

With issue 5 of xtb HERE comes a prayer diary which has a page on how to pray, a brief look at different types of prayers, and the helpful idea of teaspoon (tsp) prayers (T – Thank you; S – Sorry; P – Please).

There is also a good chapter on prayer in Disciplines of a Godly Family by Kent and Barbara Hughes HERE

Two helpful articles on prayer written by David and Sally Michael (who work at John Piper’s church) can be found HERE.

When We Pray God Works

A helpful book to encourage your child to pray for the different countries and people in the world who don’t know Jesus is Windows on the World HERE which has specific prayer points for each country mentioned.
